Wow! I’ve been watching this Kyl guy in the news. I know this is tough thing but he is proving to be the dimmest bulb in the vast field of dim bulbs once proudly known as the republican party.
The point that Kyl and a bunch of the armchair bureaucrats here don’t understand is that it all gets averaged together and is cheaper as a result. Women pay for men’s prostate exams and penile cancer treatments. Men pay for womens’ maternity care, and because so many people are pooled together, each of those things is cheaper as a result.
But really, what kind of douchebag thinks maternity care should not be covered? Seriously, that’s just greedy self-interest taken to a pathetic extreme.
The point that Kyl was trying to make and was not allowed to finish…is that we are all paying for state mandates that dictate to health ins co’s to cover costs that no one owning the policies would ever utilize. I myself don’t want to pay health insurance for trans-gender sex changes but, because state mandate dictates to an insurance company I am therefore….responsible? Come on.
My plan too. Get this, they don’t cover childbirth expenses, they don’t cover birth control pills, but they do cover viagra. Sex is only for dirty old impotent men, i guess.
